Luke Hiers, Lake Wales 2015 Center prospect is a handful. Plays with good pad level. Latches on to defenders and finishes the play. Keeps feet driving through play and drives defenders to the dirt. Good feet and base. Strong lower frame. He is gaining the attention of plenty scouting services and BCS schools

Hiers says he has plans on visiting Miami, South Florida, Florida State, and either Georgia or Kentucky before the start of the 2013 football season.

Q&A with Luke

What have you improved on since last season?
My strength and speed and quickness has improved tremendously! At the end of last season, I benched and squatted about 275 lbs and 380 lbs. Now I bench about 330 and squat 455. I ran a 5.67 forty yard dash and a 5.06 shuttle. Now I run a 5.31 and a 4.56 shuttle.

What schools are really wanting to see you in the spring to get a better evaluation?
I think Miami, USF, Duke, Florida, LSU, Alabama, Rutgers And Florida State want to see me!

Which schools have you been in close contact with?
I have been in contact with USF, Miami, Rutgers.

How would you grade your spring development on a scale of A-F and why?
My spring development should be about an A. I need to eat better! I’m 6’3″ 282 pounds. And I need to play like a mean man! And finish plays better, and fire off the ball! I will improve on that!
