QK Hit: Stalls finds his path at Plant

Keenan Stalls, Plant, CB, 2012

The Plant Panthers will return to the state championship game for the 5th time since 2006. Since the first title appearance, which showcased the beauty of Robert Marve to the last appearance that displayed the brute strength of James Wilder Jr., the Panthers have been a team built on leadership and unity.

This spring, Robert Weiner and the Panthers welcomed a new member in to their family. Keenan Stalls, a 6-0/175lbs corner who has done nothing but, solidify an already strong defensive secondary. The senior corner has benefited from being the “new guy”, opposite of Georgia Tech, lock down 2012 commit, Antonio Crawford. Because teams would rather not test the water throwing at Crawford, Stall’s stats have flourished. This season alone, Stalls has 39 solo tackles, 65 total tackles, 1 cause fumble, 1 sack, 6 interceptions and 19 pass break-ups.

While Stalls and the Panthers are “zeroed In” on attempting to win their 4th state championship under Robert Weiner, The recruiting process has picked up tremendously for the 2012 prospect. Currently, Stalls has offers from Virginia Military, Bethune Cookman, Wofford, Presbyterian and Indian is showed heavy interest. Stalls has no official offers at this time, but with his size and ability, they will come soon.
