Prospect Spotlight: East Lake’s Bryce Miller

East Lake’s certainly been without the trouble of having star-quality talent on their roster in recent years, and although they didn’t have the season the envisioned in 2015, they certainly look to get back to their winning ways over in North Pinellas–and sooner rather than later. One of those young men on that roster that will factor into the Eagles’ success next season is 5-foot-10, 175-pound wide receiver Bryce Miller.

Miller’s contributions this season and his sophomore season proved to be invaluable for the Eagles and it’s because of the wideout’s relentless work off the field–whether it’s in-season or offseason.

Going back to his sophomore season, Miller caught 35 passes for 411 yards and six touchdowns on a squad that featured offensive weapons all over the place. Miller busted his butt during this past offseason before his junior campaign winning the MVP honors at Xecutives last summer for the wideouts group amongst some extremely fierce competition.

Although Miller battled through some adversity this regular season with a nagging shoulder injury, Miller started the season like gangbusters through the first four weeks catching 21 passes for 335 yards and two touchdowns before dealing with the knock to his wing. He was even seeing time on the defensive side of the ball with a insanely athletic pick-six versus Sunlake in their fall classic.

As alluded, Miller’s an extremely athletic player and can do things with his feet in addition to catching and doing things with his hands. The Eagles have used Miller in various formations throughout his time on varsity and for god reason because of his ability to make defenders miss in the open field plus run excellent, precise routes. Miller promises to be give defenses fits on the next level wherever he lands–and lines up. Expect to see Miller in action this Sunday at BCP’s Ignite Showcase as well.
