One of those players that will help the Packers accomplish that is Class of 2018 OLB/MLB Logan Doublin, who was contributed significantly as a freshman and now as a sophomore for Largo. Last season, he was a wiry 6-feet/178-pounds, but has put on about twelve pounds this offseason and that’s a big deal.
As mentioned, he’s already played two full seasons on varsity in just two seasons on campus. His freshman season, he totaled 55 tackles–with 35 of those solo. His sophomore campaign saw him top those numbers with 69 tackles in just nine games with 25 of those credited as being solo. He also had two-10+ tackle games against East Lake and Boca Ciega in addition to recording an interception, two passes defensed and a caused fumble.
Doublin on film showed the kind of aggressiveness and fearlessness you like your linebackers to have in spite of that wiry frame and appears to love hitting opposing ball carriers which should be even more fun to watch given his added weight. Doublin will be attending e7 this Sunday in Lakeland and we cannot wait to see what sort of competitiveness he brings to an already deep linebacker group.
