Prospect Focus: Kathleen’s Tobias Larry feeling (red) devilish

You want production of a slightly different kind? One that doesn’t necessarily require numbers to tell the whole story? Here’s a story about the number of schools that have come calling because of the numbers from last season. “They” say it only takes one to make it there–or “they” say once you get your first–the others start pouring in. Either way, this young man is covering both of those bases like a Ricky Henderson clone.

Kathleen's Tobias Larry and his offers are growing literally by the day--even hours at times over the past three weeks.

It’s been a pret-ty, pret-ty good three weeks for Kathleen’s Tobias Larry. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound linebacker started 2016 with a productive Ignite Camp–one that earned him an Xecutives invitation based on his freakish skills set and film breakdown–and then shortly thereafter, the fun started for this Red Devil.

On January 27th, Bowling Green State University offered him giving the member of the Class of 2017 his first one and that was reason to be excited. But if the last five days are any indication of what’s to come, Larry better be ready to stop counting his offers and keep plugging away at all of the other numbers that actually matter at this point.

Last Friday, the University of Massachusetts offered Larry, then Southern Mississippi decided to offer the following day on Saturday. The schools seemingly took a day off so that they could build a little more “love” for the holiday and then Larry received two offers on Monday the 15th from the University of Illinois and the hometown USF Bulls.

Not to be outdone by their I-4 corridor companions, UCF offered the linebacker on Tuesday and then just yesterday two old Metro Conference—errr–Louisville and Tulane offered Larry to be a part of their programs if he so chooses. The most important part if your a fan–or alumni–of either one of the local schools is that nowadays the kids are showing tons of love to the ones that showed them love in the beginning. And with the pipeline starting to develop in Polk for USF–and the new staff in Orlando showing “they ain’t scared” to hit the Bulls’ backyard, the looming battle for Larry’s services is about to get fun for all of us–not just himself.
