1 on 1 vs. Cortavious Givens

Admiral Farragut, RB, 2014 (5-11/200lbs)

BCP: WHAT KIND OF PLAYER IS CORTAVIOUS GIVENS?
Givens: I’m a team player and will do whatever needs to be done. I will make it happen.

BCP: WHAT ARE THE STRENGTHS F YOUR TEAM THIS YEAR?
Givens: I think we will have a good offense with a strong running game. We got two QB transfers, one from Leto and the other from Indian Rocks. This let’s Reyshawn [Jenkins] go back to WR with Alvin [Cunningham].

BCP: DO YOU THINK ADMIRAL FARRAGUT COULD COMPETE IN A LARGER DISTRICT?
Givens: I think we could. We have heart and talent; just not the big roster.

BCP: WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF YOUR GAME?
Givens: I am a hard runner and I catch the ball extremely well.

BCP: ARE YOU RECEIVING ANY RECRUITING ATTENTION AS A FRESHMAN?
Givens: Yes! Kansas and South Florida have been showing me some attention.

BCP: WHAT 5 SCHOOLS DO YOU HOPE WILL RECRUIT YOU?
Givens: Florida State, Florida, Miami, South Florida and Georgia

BCP: YOUR TEAM WAS 9-2 LAST YEAR WITH BOTH LOSES TO VICTORY CHRISTIAN. HOW WOULD YOU RATE YOUR PERFORMANCES IN THOSE 2 GAMES?
Givens: The 1st time we played them in the regular season, I felt like I could have played better. But the second time we played them, they couldn’t stop me.

BCP: WHAT WAS YOUR BEST GAME IN 2010?
Givens: Our 1st round playoff game. I was doing work. I had 3 touchdowns and plenty of tackles on defense.

BCP: WHAT PERSONAL GOALS DO YOU HAVE FOR THE SUMMER?
Givens: I want to gain weight and drop my 40 yard dash time.

BCP: HOW DO YOU WANT TO BE REMEMBERED AFTER YOUR SENIOR SEASON?
Givens: A good player and student, hard worker and nice young man.
