Plant high rising senior, Aaron Banks and 2014 prospect, Colby Brown will travel to Atlanta, Georgia this weekend to compete in the annual Regional Elite 11 QB competition. The Elite 11 regionals are intended for top level rising senior quarterbacks (2013) and select elite underclassmen to show off their skills amongst other top potential prospects.
QBs performing at the Elite 11 regional camps will receive advanced, one-on-one quarterback instruction. During the camp, quarterbacks rotate through different stations, learning useful drills to improve each player. They also will throw routes to wide receivers, to display accuracy, touch, arm strength and mechanics. Each regional camp will also have an accuracy competition.
Top performers will earn a spot in the final Elite 11 event in July in Southern California. Both Banks and Brown are competing for the starting job for the Panthers. A job voided by graduating state championship QB, James Few. Banks played often last season for the Panthers, while Brown transferred to Plant from Orlando in early 2012.
Last year, former Jesuit standout QB, Tommy Elevld took home top honors at the regional camp held in Orlando.
