Plant gets physical win over Bergen Catholic, 12-7

BRADENTON —
For a program that has thrived in the national spotlight, the Panthers knew very well what they were getting into Friday night when they took on Bergen Catholic of New Jersey.

What they got was a smash-mouth football game, that resulted in only one touchdown. Thankfully for Plant, that score came from the Panther offense in a 12-7 victory.

RB Wesley Bullock scored from about 10 yards out in the 2nd quarter, while kicker Grant Van Aman did the rest of the scoring for the Panthers.

DB Antonio Crawford led the Plant defense with 2 interceptions.

The game was the second part of a double-header at Manatee High School.
