Pinellas County Big Boy is a handful

Over the next few months, new names will start to appear on college recruiting boards.  “No duh” guys will continue to juggle mail and conversation with college recruiters and new faces will start to sniff the sweet smell of recruiting attention.

One of those prospects will be 6-4/285 lbs Countryside 2014 OT Giovanni Negron.  A monster of a lineman with a mean streak.  Make sure you checkout the video below and watch how Negron plays to the whistle, grinds up opposing defenders and plays with a good pad level.

We did a quick Q&A with Negron. See his responses.

BCP: What are your strengths as a prospect?
GN: My strengths as a prospect are my run blocking and I’m very aggressive.

BCP: Where can you improve?
GN: I can improve more on stance. It’s a little too wide.

BCP: Who is the player on your team that you compete with on a daily basis in all areas of football (weight room, conditioning, practice)?
GN: Everybody!  We all have that competitive drive.

BCP: What schools are showing strong interest or have offered?
GN: Interest- Iowa state, Middle Tennessee, Missouri, Central Florida and an offer from Ohio.

BCP: Are you planning on taking spring and summer unofficial visits this year? If so where and when?
GN: I plan on visiting visits Ohio,Central Florida, Missouri and Middle Tennessee.

BCP: Who is the biggest influence when it comes to athletics?
GN: My parents and coaches. They were always the ones keeping me on track and keeping me focused on my dream to play college football
