Plant (13-0) defeated Lakeland Friday in the regional finals. A rematch of last year’s region semi-final which Plant won in the final minutes on a blocked punt setting up the winning touchdown.
This time it was Leonard Parker scoring on a 7-yard run and putting Plant up with 52 seconds left in the game. Plant advanced to travel to Bartram Trail this Friday in the state class 7A semi-finals.
