So Plant CB, Eric Patterson makes his college commitment to Ball State, but why the wait? Interest for Patterson pick up significantly towards the end of the recruiting season leaving Patterson with more options than expected. One possible place to call home was the University of Miami.  After National Signing Day came and went, Patterson was contacted by Miami which stated they may have a scholarship available for the lockdown CB.  Patterson, excited about what could happen waited patiently. But it came back that Miami was not going to be able to offer a CB at the time. Patterson’s made his commitment to Ball State and is happy with his pick.
