Orson Charles drafted No. 116 by the Cincinnati Bengals

Former Plant star Orson Charles was drafted with the first pick of the fourth round in the 2012 NFL draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. He caught 45 passes for 574 yards and five touchdowns for the Georgia Bulldogs this season and was named first-team All-SEC and a finalist for the John Mackey Award. He was also a first-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association.

Charles was a part of Plant’s 4A state championship in 2008 and announced he would enter the draft in January.
