In August, Jefferson DE, Tyriq McCord named his top six which consisted of,  in no particular order, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Southern California, TCU and Miami.  McCord says there has been no change at this time and he is still very open in the recruiting process.

The 6-4, 230lbs senior is currently averaging 7 tackles per game, 3 sacks and has 6 receptions.  McCord is the #2 DE prospect in the Tampa Bay Area and #3 prospect overall (according to the BCP player rankings).  McCord has offers from every major football program in Florida and many other BCS schools.

Even though the Dragon’s lost to #1 ranked Armwood this past Friday, McCord spoke highly of his team’s effort and was encouraged by their performance.  However, noticeably upset about the loss, McCord stated that his team has their sights set on Hillsborough and want to face Armwood again (playoffs).
