New sheriff in town at Brandon High School

Brandon High School Athletic Director Tibor Kovacs has announced that the Eagles have tabbed Hillsborough Defensive Coordinator Eychner to be their new Head Coach. Eychner follows John Lima, who was 29-35 in his six seasons for the Eagles. While under his tenure, Brandon finished with 3 winning seasons along with 3 losing seasons and played in the postseason four of those six years; the last two as District Runners-Up. In 2007, Brandon finished as District Champs.

Eychner has enjoyed great success with Terriers seeing the team make the playoffs 15 of his 17 seasons under Earl Garcia Jr., while witnessing eight District Championships and a State Title appearance in 1996. Over the past eight seasons, his defenses have only given up an average of 20 points once, posting a 17 ppg. average.
