Nelson Agholor, Berkeley Prep, 2012 ATH, is quick to “show love” towards his teammates, even though he knows he is the big ticket; he always gives his team and coaching staff credit for his accomplishments. Because of his unselfish attitude, physical ability, mature mannerism and academic commitment, Agholor has attracted the attention of just about every BCS program in the nation. He is currently nationally ranked on every major publication and is the owner of dozens on top of dozens of football scholarship offers. Nelson has never been shy about his attraction to the University of Notre Dame and took a quick second to answer my Irish questions.

Note: Being an ex-college football player, I love how Nelson Agholor is handling his recruitment; very professional approach.

BCP: What is your attraction to Notre Dame?
AGHOLOR: Notre Dame is rich in football tradition and has a solid academic base.

BCP: Has Notre Dame’s roller coaster years of successful and unsuccessful football seasons played a part in your interest in the program?
AGHOLOR: It has opened my eyes and the inconsistency can be concerning. But, it could also be good or bad for me. I ask myself, ‘how could I help to improve that program that seems to be on their way back on top’?

BCP: After the first 3 games of the Irish 2011 football season, what are your impressions and do you see yourself being an impact player for the blue and gold?
AGHOLOR: I see players on that team, like Michael Floyd, that have been playing very well, with a lot of confident and have shown consistency. Coach Kelly is a good coach and I like his passion for the game and players. I would work towards earning the coaches trust in order to become an impact player like Michael Floyd has.
