PINELLAS COUNTY

Needs for a win, Largo and East Lake

Largo RB, Jarvis Stewart

East Lake and Largo will go head to head Friday night in front of a faithful Packer Nation and traveling, revived East Lake following. Bragging rights are on the line for Pinellas County.

East Lake is emerging as one of the premiere programs in Pinellas County as Bob Hudson has moved up on the County Win list at #21 with a 65-46-0 (prior to 2013 season) career record. Largo head coach has taken Largo to new heights as he is #8 on the Pinellas County all time win list with 115-37-0 (prior to 2013 season).

Largo has 8 straight playoff appearances. East Lake has 4 straight playoff appearances. Largo has 14 District titles and East Lake has 5 District titles. Largo leads the all time series, 9-2. Last East Lake win came in 2010 winning 21-7.

FOR LARGO TO WIN
Make East Lake RB, Weston Fordham beat you. Don’t allow Jake Hudson to hit the big plays with Artavis Scott and George Campbell. Largo must force East Lake to drive the length of the field to score points. If Weston Fordham is the difference maker again, that’s fine. As long as Largo keeps him and East Lake out the end zone.

FOR EAST LAKE TO WIN
Stop RB Jarvis Stewart. Force first year QB, Donavan Hale to be the hero and throw the ball more than expected. Take away high percentage passes and force Hale to beat you with the low percentage deep balls. Do not let Jarvis Stewart get going. Stewart has the ability to grind a defense up and break off big runs. Force Donavan Hale to make plays.

Both teams need to be ready to make half time adjustments if the game plan goes down the drain!
