Berkeley Prep will host the ARS Rescue Rooter Hoopfest Showcase. The National Hoopfest was established in 2011 as the Penny Hardaway Classic. In 6 years, They have hosted 10 tournaments including Memphis, Las Vegas and Tampa.

Continuously this event attracts the best national and local high school talent, having had over 100 D1 scholarship athletes participate in the event, including 5 NBA lottery picks.

The action starts tonight Friday, January 19th 2018 at Berkeley Preparatory school. The schedule for tonight’s games is as follows:

4:30p Oak Hill Academy (VA) vs. St. Pete
6:00p Montverde Academy (national varsity) vs. Berkeley Prep

A few dozen national prospects will be in attendance participating with their teams. Central Florida’s Chol Marial (IMG National Varsity), Makhi Mitchell (Montverde Academy), Josh Green (Montverde Academy), Josh Nickelberry (Oak Hill Academy) and Jordan Mitchell (Montverde Academy) all expected to grace the floor this weekend.
