Yet another Class of 2017 prospect that is starting to catch some attention with his offseason progression. This 6-foot-3, 285-pounder pops off the screen on film at the left tackle position. appears to be getting stronger by the day and is extremely agile for a frame of that size. Hegwood drives out of his stance with a really balanced explosion of hands and core strength and finishes his blocks down field consistently. The Mustangs posted impressive numbers on offense last season despite their 6-5 record. Mitchell put up over 3,000 yards in total that was balanced to the tune of 1,400-plus yards in passing and 1,600-plus in rushing. Hegwood shows the ability to become a brick wall in pass-protection or a bully in the running game which should help the Mustangs stay on course for another 3,000-yard season.
