MIAMI CONTINUES ASCENT IN TOP-25 RANKINGS

Hurricanes move up to No. 11 in AP poll, No. 10 in Amway Coaches

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Following a 24-20 win over Florida State Saturday afternoon at Doak Campbell Stadium, Miami climbed in the latest college football polls released Sunday.

The Hurricanes (4-0, 2-0 ACC) moved up two spots from No. 13 to No. 11 in the Associated Press rankings and two spots from No. 12 to No. 10 in the Amway Coaches Poll.

The rankings are the highest for Miami since Week 6 of the 2016 season, when Miami was ranked No. 10 in both polls. The Hurricanes entered the season ranked in both preseason polls for the first time since 2010.

Miami next returns home for a key ACC Coastal Division matchup with visiting Georgia Tech at Hard Rock Stadium. Kickoff on Oct. 14 is set for 3:30 p.m. on ABC.
