Shane McGough is not the most recognized lineman in the area. More than likely, football fans are only aware of the name because his older brother was a 4 year starting QB, 3 years at Gaither and working for the starting QB job at FIU in only his second year. Shane McCough is a rising senior offensive and defensive lineman at Gaither High school in need of a big spring to boost his recruitment.

McGough has played Offensive tackle, Defensive tackle and even Inside linebacker during his high school career. Currently standing at 6-2/260 pounds, he is in a perfect position to either add weight and become a monster interior lineman or cut weight and be a bullish inside backer. We happen to think his money will be made with his hand in the dirt. Dirty and powerful as an offensive lineman. Raw, green and inexperienced as a defensive tackle.

McGough sees his strengths as: Smart, good feet, strong hands, physical, tough and a leader. What we see and what he has accepted is improving his technique, speed and strength. If all goes well this spring, summer and fall, “I got a D1 scholarship to my dream school and helped my team make it back to the playoffs” says McGough.
