Maurice Hall moving up on BCS recruiting boards, add Oklahoma offer

Maurice Hall, Gibbs, 2014, ATH

6-2/195lbs, 2014 Gibbs High athlete Maurice Hall is not a big name in Tampa Bay.  At least not yet he isn’t.  But in the recruiting world, he is starting to catch fire.  Hall plays just about every position on the field; running back, receiver, defensive end, outside line backer and even some safety.  Last season, as a sophomore he rushed for 235 yards, playing RB for just the last 3 games of the year. He had 455 yards receiving with 3 different QBs.  He total a “crazy”, 65 tackles, 9 sacks, 3 interceptions, 4 force fumbles and scored once on defense.  Just for good measure, throw in 288 kick off return yards and 2 TDs.

The Bay Area has not taken notice to Hall yet, but the college recruiters are.  When the Oklahoma staff visited Gary Simon last week, Hall grabbed their attention with his play on film.  Head football coach, Antonio Knox said once they saw Maurice on flim and in person they verbally offered him.  Knox says “He is too good of a player”.  Florida, Miami, Georgia, South Carolina, Iowa State, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Loiusville, South Florida and Auburn are all showing the 2014 ATH, heavy recruiting attention.

Coach Knox is excited about his 2012 group.  He has a young talented team that will return Emmanuel Stewart and will be built around Maurice Hall.  The introduction of one of the next Tampa Bay stars is right here.
