Tip of the Iceberg: 2013 Statewide Sleepers

Our state-wide efforts continue across the state of Florida at a rapid pace. Breaking down game film on elite talents with dozens of offers is easy to do. We continue to break down and locate elite players but the majority of our efforts will focus on the kids that need it most. Kids who do not hold offers yet, or late bloomers. Kids who are sure scholarship players at some level but remain under the radar. Our coverage over the course of the next many months will bring college recruiters an up close look at thousands and thousands of prospects. Today we throw out just a small sample of what this site is all about. BCP introduces you to a handful of unknowns! Keep in mind, this is only the tip of the iceberg! With 2500 prospects across the state of Florida cut up from game film, this is a fraction of 1% of the coverage!

Rocky Enos, Wharton 2013 LB
Rocky Enos, Wharton 2013 LB His film speaks volumes. Tampa Bay’s top LB and super productive. Listed at 6-1/210lbs and runs like a deer. Very disruptive and has a nose for the ball. Plays every snap like it is his last and make the players around him better.

Franszi Telis, Miami Edison OT/DT
Big frame kids who can run are always in high demand. Today we make a stop in Miami at Edison High School to get a look at Franszi Telis. In this video pay attention to his ability to get downfield. Played limited snaps on defense but could also project on the DL. Has frame to add significant weight. Got to love a kid getting it done in a hotbed of talent like Miami.

DeAndre Mathis, Sickles 2013 WR
Long arms, attacks the ball in the arm and has the ability to turn a 5 yard play into a 60 yard TD. Very explosive at the line of scrimmage and defines himself as a gritty playmaker.

Dvon Ballard, Booker T Washington 2013 RB
Production is key with this Miami talent. Getting it done against top competition like Ely, Miami Central, and a top Texas team in Cedar Hill tells you what you need to know about D’Von. Shared carries last season and is now the go to guy.

Dacorius Law, Haines City 2014 ATH
Fast and explosive. Very instinctive player. With the homerun ability.

Brad Hyman-Muhammad, Adimarl Farragut 2013 ATH
Very athletic player. Small school competition has kept him out of the lime light. However he does it all for his team. If you eliminate the competition and focus on his ability, it is evident that he has the skill and tools to perform at a high level.

Eric Hampson, Pinellas Park 2013 OT
Played last season at 270lbs as a first year player. Has gained weight and maintained his weight at 300lbs. Plays with a mean streak and has the ability to get to the second level quickly and under control at 300 pounds. Great academically and very coachable.

Frank Sampson, Nature Coast 2013 S
A safety with size and can come up in run support. Plays off the beaten track so not many college recruiters are making this stop.

Dance Estes, Bay 2013 LB
MLB who is also productive in a part of the state that does not get much traffic. Excellent grades and ability to hit you from a short distance.

Kenyan Davis, Godby 2013 DB
This DB out of Tallahassee plays like a LB. Very aggressive and runs to ball well. Can never get enough of these kids on your team!

Ket-yrus Marks, Suncoast 2013 DT
Big time first step and extremely disruptive in the backfield. Demands double teams often and can hold ground against them. Great kid and has grades! DT is always a position of need and this south Florida talent is certainly one to know!

Jake Lutzen, Boynton Beach 2013 QB
Big body QB out of Boynton Beach who is having quite a year so far. You can teach many things on the field but size isn’t one of them! Ability to pull it down and run or stand tall in the pocket.

Damarius Brinson, Boca Ciega 2013 CB
6 foot CB with great speed and improved cover skills. One of the biggest sleepers in Tampa Bay. Has performed very well versus the top receiver prospects in Pinellas County. Very long arms, loose hips and excellent ball skills. Linton Meggie, Lake Weir 2013 OL Hunter Murray, Arnaold 2013 RB/DB

Linton Meggie, Lake Weir 2013 OL
Frame and athleticism in this 6’4″ 290 OT out of Lake Weir. Shows flashes of big time play and can move laterally in a way that suggests the kid has quite a bit of upside.

Hunter Murray, Arnold 2013 OL
Another sampling of our Panhandle coverage. This OL with size out of Arnold High School in Panama City can get it done.

Eddie Burgos, Sunlake 2013 DB/RB
The guy who makes his team go! Has a really good chance of being a steal for a D1 school. 5-11/185lbs defensive back. Likely to be projected as a safety. Quick feet and good hips. Shows an obvious excitement and love for the game. Plays his best versus better competition.

Jeremy Mcllelan, Chiefland 2013 OL
Hard working interior lineman that plays with intensity. Can play both sides of the ball. Again, many of these schools are not heavily recruited and that is definitely the case with Chiefland.

Tanner Reeves, George Jenkins 2013 DE
A very intriguing player with so much upside. Shows a strong resemblance of Miami Hurricane DL, Anthony Chickillo. Violent player, with live hands. Displays an extremely high motor and will to win. Team player and very discipline.

Alex Pagonis, Gulf Breeze 2013 OL
Big, strong interior OL that plays with a mean streak. Ability to pull at 330 is a plus. Having guys pave the way for the run game is a key to success, and Alex does just that. Good kid with good grades, but not much going on just yet in recruiting. Gulf Breeze HS is off the beaten track so again, little foot traffic has kept him a bit under the radar.

Jaylen Woodyard, West Port ATH
Athletic QB who can make things happen with his feet. Although he plays exclusively QB, he should project as a WR/S. Good kid with nothing going on yet in the recruiting process but that should soon change. Not many college coaches get north of Tampa to the Ocala area so some of these kids get overlooked.
