Largo brings down Eagles: 40-10

A game that was promised to have fireworks, did…but only for one team. The Largo Packers entered East Lake stadium with a perfect record looking to continue their streak against North Pinellas power, East Lake.

As usual, Juwan Brown, Largo QB was plain SPECIAL. For starters, he finished the game 8 of 13 for 210 yards and 3 passing TDs and rushed 15 times for 56 yards and 1 TD. It wasn’t so much his numbers, but how he went about his business. He threw beautiful balls that could have made ESPN’s highlight reel. Never once was he flustered and never once was he over excited. He was in complete control of the game from start to finish.

Jarvis Stewart, Largo RB was the horse the carried the chariot. 26 rushes for 236 yards and 1 TD. He carried defenders on his back, run over “dudes” and around them. Besides an early fumble that followed a big run, Stewart was rarely contained and nearly unstoppable.

Raheem Harvey, Largo WR did not kill the stat sheet, but both of his receptions were for TDs: 2 receptions, 24 yards and 2 TDS.

And then there was Reggie Campbell, Largo WR: 4 receptions, 139 yards 1 TD and 99 yards KOR for a TD. Reggie looked really smooth. Whenever Juwan Brown needed to make a play, Campbell was the go to target. Many times it looked like he was at half speed toying with the defense.

Overall, Largo overwhelmed East Lake from start to finish. The Eagles attempted top mount a comeback, but Largo never let off the gas. Pete Dinovo, East Lake QB did what he could without star WR, Artavis Scott, who was absent from the game due to internal reasons. Dinovo ended the game 15/32, 162 yards, 2 Ints and 54 rush yards, 1 rush TD

Largo plays Dixie Hollins next week and advances to 5-0. While East Lake falls to 3-2 and will play North Port next Friday.
