The last time Winter Haven defeated Lakeland, George H.W. Bush (The Daddy) was the President of the United States. In 1992, Winter Haven defeated the Mighty Dreadnaughts 15-13. Ever since, it has been all Lakeland from 1993-1998 and 2003-2010. The 2010 game was awarded to Winter Haven due to FHSAA violations which stripped wins from Lakeland. The Dreadnaughts won last year’s battle 28-7.

The Orange Black lead the series 30-8 since 1970. However the series dates all the way back to 1922. Lakeland is the #1 team in the BCP land after defeating Treasure Coast 41-7. Winter Haven ranks #6 in a 14-6 win versus Haines City last Friday in a game shortened due to lightning.
