2011, 2012 and 2015 are the most recent games between Jesuit and Lakewood. The Tigers hold a 2-1 lead heading into Friday’s round 2 playoff matchup. Past games have been a talent pool for college coaches.
Lakewood’s past rosters consisted of studs such as Shaquill and Shaquem Griffin, Rodney Adams, Isaiah Wynn and Marquez Valdes-Scantling to name a few. Jesuit had a handful of high profile prospects of their own such as Travis Johnson, Vincent Jackson and even Malik Davis in 2015.
The current rosters may not be saturated with Saturday and Sunday talent as past years. Nonetheless, the contest should be just as exciting. Take a look back at the 2012 game at the video below.
“It’s always exciting to compete against a great program like Jesuit. We have had some great games against them and we look forward to another great competition this Friday. This game in the past has featured a lot of great players and great groups of young men. We are excited and looking forward to this Friday.” – Cory Moore, Lakewood Head Football Coach
