In high school football, usually the established upperclassman attracts the most publicity. But, there are a few special sophomores who will take some of the spot light and begin their rise to the top.
Young high school football players no longer have to wait behind penciled in upperclassmen. More and more talented freshman and sophomores are key contributors and or starters for their teams.
James Wilder Jr. kicked down the door at Chamberlain establishing himself a defensive force recording 16 total sacks as a sophomore. Christian Green was imported on the recruiting scene after a stellar sophomore season at Tampa Catholic. Vernon Hargreaves become a household name after starting as a sophomore for Wharton and showing premier coverage ability.
