Middleton vs. Spoto started off extremely sloppy. Both teams exchanged turnovers throughout the first quarter, neither team finding much of a rhythm. Middleton started to pull away early in the second period capitalizing off of missed opportunities and creating turnovers in the backcourt. The Tigers had several breakaway, uncontested layups and really set the tempo for the second half.

Junior Middleton guard and Breakdown Showcase performer, Dontez Hardy led all scores with 14 points and a few sweet moves in the paint and finishing at the rim. At the half, Middleton led the home Spartans 44-10.

The Tigers did not let up, dominating the paint and contesting every shot the Spartans put up. Both Jamal Bevel and Latrel Campbell really did a good job on the defensive glass and scored some easy put back points off offensive rebounds. Middleton sat their starters for the 4th quarter and the game clock ran. At the end of the game, Middleton increased their win total by beating Spoto 60-21.
