Lets take a look at a few front court players who should be highly productive players this season.
Andrew Sanders, Plant 2014 SF
Big, athletic and versitile. Sanders was the focus of the Plant basketball team last season, averaging 17 points per game and 11 rebounds. 9 games scoring 20 or more points and 7 games with 15 or more boards. Sanders has the ability to consistently hit the 15 foot jumper and has a variety of post moves.
Donavan Geter, Newsome 2014 PF
Donavan will take on an increased roll for the Wolves this season. Will be asked to become more of a force on the interior and provide more scoring offensively. Geter shows good footwork in the paint and is explosive off the ground. Pretty tough prospect and likes to mix it up. Will need to improve his low post repertoire and add more counter moves.
Lorenzo Brown, Pasco 2014 PF
Really good defensive player. Long player who can defend his position and redirect for rebounding position. Has pretty good feet and hands and runs the open court well. Brown averaged 14 points and 9 rebounds last season, three 20 point games vs. Ridgewood, Hudson and Anclote.
Zach Rapaport, Mitchell 2014 C
Big Zach averaged 8 points and 6 rebounds last season. 8 games in double figures scoring and 5 games in double digit rebounds. Zach will need to increase his scoring and become more of a dominant force on the offensive and defensive glass. However, he is a big body, with soft hands and smooth footwork.
Marcus Hayne, Wesley Chapel 2014 C
Second on the team in scoring last season at 10.3 points per contest and 7.5 rebounds per game. Marcus has the size to really be a force in the paint. Will need to improve his explosion and quickness, but has good hands and lateral movement. Had his best game last season versus Gulf, scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds.
