RECRUITING

Hillsborough WR, has new life after commiting to D2 program

Evan Jennings vs Middleton

Hillsborough WR, Evan Jennings has made a commitment to division 2 Fort Hays State.  Jennings originally committed to Western Michigan in early November but the offer was pulled leaving Jennings without a future home.  The senior wide receiver/safety led the Terriers’ in receiving yards this season with 22 catches for 352 yards and six touchdowns.  The Hillsborough High coaching staff marketed Jennings very heavy at this past weekend’s recruiting fair located at Jefferson High.  Jennings received plenty of attention with his 6-2 frame and athletic ability, but eventually chose Fort Hays to continue his education and athletic career.

Jennings best game came against Jefferson:  Evan Jennings | Hillsborough 6-3 175 | CB, WR 2012: This senor is special. He had 5 catches for 105 yards. He told me that he is in talks with about 10 schools, and after highlights from this game get added to his reel, he may be talking to 15-20 schools. He made three truly memorable catches. On his 19-yard TD reception the pass was slightly underthrown, but he leapt over the 6-foot tall CB William Watson and snared the ball out of the air at its highest point. Perfect execution. Great hands. Great body control.
