Hillsborough runs past Newsome, 35-28

LITHIA —
The Terriers managed to beat the Wolves at their own game, as Hillsborough rushed for 4 touchdowns to edge out Newsome 35-28.

Newsome (1-2) set the tone on their opening drive by methodically moving down the football field and eventually punching it in on a Keller Powers 3-yard touchdown run. It was one of three touchdowns on the night for Powers.

The Terriers also were committed to running the football, as they managed to break off three touchdown runs of 25 yards or more, with the highlight being a 70-yard run by Anthony Brown to give the Terriers a 14-7 lead.

Brown sealed the win for Hillsborough (2-1) with a 1-yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter to put the Terriers up 35-21, plus backed that up on defense with an interception late in the 4th quarter
