Hillsborough 2015 WR

As we begin to start focusing on our 2015 and 2016 class, one young prospect’s film came across my desk and blew me away. As much attention is focused on well known, established names, we tend to focus on the kids who do not have the big names…YET!

But, this young man from Hillsborough has a chance to pop in a big way. Jon Hughes totaled 20 receptions for 473 yards and 6 receiving TDs in 2013. He averaged 23.65 yards per catch.

Of the returning receiver prospects, Hughes may have the best ball skills of then all. He is not blazing fast like Ryan Davis or George Campbell. He doesn’t have the upper body strength like Deon Cain or Nate Craig. But, he plays the ball in the air arguably better than any around. Reminds  me of former Jefferson Dragon and current USF Bull, Andre Davis.
