Hawks Dig Their Talons into the Nation

The Hawks dominated nationally beating three nationally teams ranked within the top 20 depending which rankings you look at.

The Hawks outscored three nationally ranked teams (Bishop Gorman, Plant, Miami Central) 81-48.

Bishop Gorman: Division 4A State Champs 15-1

Armwood vs. Bishop Gorman – W 20-17

Bishop Gorman – Points for: 838 Points allowed: 185

Outside of the Hawks’ stifling defense the fewest points the Gaels scored was 31.

14 of the Gaels 16 games they scored at least 35 points. Within those 14 games Bishop Gorman scored 55 points or more 9 times.

Plant: Division 8A State Champs 14-1

Armwood vs. Plant – W 21-0

We all know what Plant brings to the table. Four state championships in the past six years for Plant, in three different classes. Armwood shut down James Few and the rest of the Panthers’ offense that averaged 40 points per game, it’s fewest (other than against the Hawks) came against nationally ranked Bergen Catholic in which they won 12-7.

Miami Central: 6A State Runner up 13-1

Armwood vs. Miami Central – W 40-31

The talent hot-bed of the entire country. The deepest, most-talented county in the state of Florida, and the Hawks handled them. Central has numerous Division I prospects that the Hawks dominated all game long and never trailed.
