PINELLAS COUNTY RECRUITING

Gordon Sandorf: Countryside’s big cat on the prowl

This Countryside offensive lineman is just a 2017 prospect, but already has frame that can’t be pulled out of a magic hat at 6-foot-3, 265-pounds and has already shown through his offseason camps he is progressing and ready to carry the momentum built from a very solid sophomore season on film. Sandorf possesses good feet along with a good core strength. He uses that strength to explode then applies quick hands when taking on defensive lineman and can get down the field to make blocks very quickly on screens. Sandorf played at guard and tackle for the Cougars last season and looked comfortable at both. He is willing to switch to the defensive side of the ball or play either position on the OL if need be and also carries a 3.2 GPA in the classroom. Hard not to get excited about this young man’s prospect’ potential contribution to his squad and for his chances to get offered at the next level as his season progresses.
