FAQ: OFFICIAL SCHOLARSHIP OFFER

WE WANT YOU, POINT BLANK PERIOD

OFFICIAL OFFER: This is still a non-binding “Invitation” to become a member of an athletic team at a specific school. The official offer will come in written, hard copy form and will start to be issued at the beginning of a recruit’s senior year.

The official offers means this: College coaches have thoroughly evaluated their list of prospects, filtered out the priority recruits and now want to “Get Engaged.” Remember the three stages of the offer process on the VERBAL OFFER FAQ.

At this point, verbal offers received prior to official offer, no longer exist. Allow us to clarify. If a prospect has received a verbal offer from a college coach at anytime…If that verbal offer is not followed up by an official/written offer sometime during the athlete’s senior year (usually during the first semester of his senior year)…That offer is as good as monopoly money at Walmart. The offer no longer exist.

Hint: High school athletes high on college recruiting boards will receive official/written offers early, like the first week of a prospect’s senior year of school.

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF AN OFFICIAL OFFER.
