: On Wednesday, August 3, 2011 several Freedom HS football players gave back to the community by assisting the University Area Community Center located on North 22nd Steet in Tampa, with helping prepare for their annual back to school event. The team helped by packing school supplies in bookbags that will be distributed to local elementary, middle and high school students during the event. Larry Thorpe, (2012 DB one of Freedoms top prospects that has received four D-1 scholarship offers) Zach Romp, Alunte Fleshman, Dylan Browne and Scott Patchan, to name a few were some of the Patriots in attendance at this service event. “Patriots not only show pride in their school but also in the community and that was displayed here today.” says, Coach Blount.
