LAKELAND CHRISTIAN VS BERKELEY PREP
Lakeland Christian 2015 QB, Christian Alexander will be one of the top QB prospects in the class of 2015. Currently he is averaging 164 passing yards per game. DeAndre Johnson (First Coast), Daniel Parr (Dwyer) and Dwayne Lawson (Hillsborough) will also be QB top prospects in the class of 2015.
TJ Simmons, Lakeland Christian is a stud. “Why” you may ask. He does the basic “things” really well. When evaluating RBs, I look for 9 traits. Below are the “basic 5.” TJ Simmons does all extremely well, added to his height and weight, he becomes a really attractive prospect.
– inside and outside running ability
– elusiveness
– explosion
– vision
– balance
Big Brad Mayes fan, but he is not the only college prospect who will be on the field for Berkeley Prep tonight. TE/OT Jared Shimberg and WR Jacob Mathis are really good D1AA and D1 college prospects. Clinton Gasque, George Pennington, Michael Hicks and George Peek will also be smaller school recruits.
DURANT VS PLANT CITY
How good is Alabama verbal commit and Plant City offensive guard, Montel McBride? He is pretty darn good. When looking at offensive linemen, flexibility is key. McBride bends very well at the knees, not the waist. At 6-4/335 lbs, McBride is explosive out of a three-point stance and displays great foot speed to cut off second level defenders. He is very light on his feet and pulls extremely well. Dominating attitude and tremendous upper and lower body strength.
Plant City 2014 athletes, Sedrick King and Landon Galloway are both verbally committed to the University of Central Florida. King is a 6-3 defensive end and Galloway is a 6-2 ATH playing QB currently and recruited as an H-Back/TE. Both would love early playing time for the Knights. Central Florida plans on signing two DEs this February and have three sophomores and one freshman on the depth chart. Galloway would be sitting behind one junior and one freshman.
What makes Durant ATH, John Hendricks Jr such and intricate member of the Cougar 2013 team? His coaches describe him as a “True team leader” by example and vocally. He is one of their impact players, having played RB, FB, TE, LB, DE, PR and KR for the Cougars. He currently leads the team in sacks (3).

SUNLAKE VS SPRINGSTEAD
Sunlake has started the season 3-0 defeating River Ridge, Anclote and county power, Pasco. In the process, the Seahawks have allowed 6 total points in three games, scoring 57 points of their own. Springstead is 2-1, only loss coming to Citrus. A big win versus Nature Coast (24-7) has boosted the confidence of Springstead. In a big district game, defense will be the difference.
