Importance:
Switching district-numbering means that the Polk/Osceola County teams will be geographically closer/more convenient to their 1st/2nd Rd potential opponents. Still doesn’t solve for the INSANE travel distances that will be required to play in these assignments over four seasons.

They are now opposite of the Treasure Coast Area teams:
Fort Pierce Central
Port St. Lucie-Centennial
Treasure Coast
Vero Beach

Hillsborough/Pinellas teams are now opposite an all-Orange County District:
Cypress Creek
Dr. Phillips
Freedom
Oak Ridge
Olympia

Lake Wales and Tenoroc have been moved from a Hillsborough/Polk Co district 5A-10 (with Jesuit, Middleton, Spoto and Robinson) THEY ARE BOTH in new classifications.

6A-8
Auburndale
Lake Gibson
Lake Region
Lake Wales
Sebring

4A-6
Avon Park
Bishop Verot (Fort Myers) – moved out of proposed 3A-5 with CCC
Gateway Charter (Fort Myers)
LaBelle
Lake Placid
Mulberry
Tenoroc

Fort Meade and Frostproof’s district (1A-8) has Pahokee added to it…

1A-8
Crescent City
Fort Meade
Frostproof
Pahokee
Pierson-Taylor
Wildwood

Other interesting notes: Lecanto moves out of the mostly-Pasco Co. district with Land O’Lakes, Mitchell, Springstead, Sunlake, and Pasco. That district is still a gauntlet:
6A-5
Land O’Lakes
Mitchell
Pasco
Springstead
Sunlake

6A-9 Boca Ciega, Largo, Clearwater, Dixie Hollins, Northeast, Osceola’s potential road through the playoffs just got tougher. The district opposite of them for the next four years just had Island Coast and Charlotte HS’s (moved down from 7A) added to an already highly-competitive first/second round.
