• WIREGRASS RANCH has a great shot to defeat the high scoring Lake Nona Lions. But, they better beware of the Lions quarterback. Here’s what might happen. Kern might start slow and Bull fans will say in the stands “He’s not that good.” Then he’ll go bonkers.
• Tampa Catholic’s real rival is Clearwater Central Catholic. Quietly, its a better game where TC has won their share over the last 10 years and the “cross water” element gives the game more pop.
• Gaither wins the game if they lean on Reid. Give the man the rock and let him roll.
• Manatee has slid down the hill over the last few seasons. This year has been somewhat of a rollercoaster. No matter, the Canes are best when the running game is hitting on all cylinders.
• What’s wrong with the new playoff system? Not much. A tweak here and there and it might be PERFECT! The area’s best teams are in. We have one exception. Outside of that, the good teams who also beat good teams are in.
