Field Goal(s) – 3 thoughts on District 2A-6

Teams:
Admiral Farragut
Indian Rocks Christian
Northside Christian

Talk about high risk/reward…
All three of these teams are looking like big things are on the horizon for them in 2015. The only problem? This is like a real-life game of “one’s gotta go” and only two of these teams can make it to the postseason. Well, that’s not the only problem either since it’s going to be extremely hard to definitively pick who’s winning and who’s finishing second. There’s the Class 2A runners-up in Indian Rocks Christian and they’re absolutely loaded. There’s Admiral Farragut that could explode during the season and start boat-racing teams “if” they can gel and there’s Northside that’s just waiting patiently with their talented roster and playmakers for the other two teams to slip up.

Get your weight up…
So what if this is Class 2A ball? These three teams comprise one of the toughest districts pound-for-pound in the area and when you add the fact that the season is determined a failure or success over the course of two games makes the stakes almost incomprehensible at this point.

And the District MVP will be?
Good question. On top of this district containing three talented teams, within those teams are certified ballers. IRC’s vaunted rushing attack with the likes of Theo Anderson and Zeke McGaughy along with the return of Garrett Ross-Johnson at QB are some good places to start. Then you head over to Farragut where there’s talent all over the place with Matt Landers, L’Dre Barnes and Craig Watts. Or if that’s not enough you can try and figure out where the likes of Josh Snead or Darius Williams will fit into that equation over at Northside Christian. No matter which way you look at it, you’ll want to try and make it for one of these district contests during the season. You’ll also be hard-pressed to see so much talent in one place in Class 2A for those games as well.
