FHSAA Statement on Hurricane Irma

We are all concerned about Hurricane Irma as she approaches the Caribbean islands and expected landfall on Florida. The FHSAA has issued a statement regarding football games for the coming week:

The FHSAA is continuing to monitor the current status of Hurricane Irma and its potential landfall in Florida. We ask that all member schools work with their district officials and governing organizations to make the best decision for your student-athletes and communities when it comes to athletic events. We know many of you have to make a decision early this week as some facilities serve as shelters. Games can be rescheduled for later in the season if there is room in the schedule for them. The concern of our member schools is our top priority during this impending storm. We will maintain an open line of communication to make sure our member needs are met.
