HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY RECRUITING

FAU welcomes Leto, Falcons leave impressed

Andre Simpson, Leto, RB, 2013

The highlight for all three young men was getting to sit down with their respective position coaches and get a first hand account of what FAU’s new staff is looking for in the classes of 2013 & 2014. Andre Simpson came away really impressed with Running Backs Coach Kerry Dixon after spending the afternoon with him and especially after seeing how the Owls will be utilizing their backs in their Spread attack.

Luycchi Jansen and Josh Dupree, both linebackers learned that coach Dewitt’s idea of the ideal backer for them is a “Massive DB” stating speed trumps all for them in their evaluations for their future backers.

Aside from the focused attention by FAU’s staff, the players came away really impressed with the Owls’ new stadium. They got a great view of everything from the sidelines before kick off for the Blue & White game…

Andre Simpson who has offers from North Carolina State & Jacksonville State, is hoping to come away with an offer from the Owls by the end of Spring. As is Jansen, however he is leaning towards the Citadel at the moment as he has a strong interest in the military and they have expressed solid interest in him.

2014 Defensive End Josh Dupree (6’2″ , 195 LB) is one of our top sophomore/junior prospects and was invited to attend by Coach Sims and got a great introduction as to what to expect in his recruiting process as interest in him continues to grow.
