Freedom QB, Jon Economou is anxious for the 2011 season to start.  He is excited to see what his 2011 Freedom team will do and how well he will perform.  Before fall camp hits, there is still some business to be taken care of. The 6-3/ 225lb QB is taking an aggressive approach to his college recruitment. As many athletes do during the summer, Economou will be taking a college tour this coming week from Thursday-Sunday, visiting a few schools.  Troy, South Alabama, Samford and Alabama Birmingham are on Economou’s hit list.  He will also be participating in Troy’s one day camp where he hopes to make a good impression which can lead to a scholarship offer. Currently no college program has pulled the trigger on Economou, but Bowling Green, USF, Cincinnati, Troy, South Carolina, Ball State, FAU, Purdue and Mississippi State are all showing heavy interest.
