Early recognition key to elite talent

The recruiting process is all about timing. Whether you are a player, a high school coach, or a college recruiter. Timing is everything. This does not mean there is a need to rush the process, it simply means there is a right time that a player, a coach, or a recruiter can maximize their recruiting impact.

In the instance of an elite talent, early recognition becomes key! College recruiters getting the jump on these talents allow for early relationship building with the player and family which leads to a higher chance of signing that player on signing day. Well recognition can’t take place until a kid steps on the field and begins to make plays. In the case of Eddie Jackson, elite ATH out of Boyd Anderson, that did not take place until he stepped on the field as an unknown Senior against Tampa Plant. His efforts in that game, and in his following game showed not only flashes of big time play, but a consistent ability to make plays on both sides of the ball, and plays that impact the game.

So as of Week 3 of the HS season, an elite talent is born and college coaches who catch a glimpse of him in action are certain to jump, and that is exactly what happened with Eddie. Fast forward to signing day and this big time talent is poised to sign an LOI to play for the University of Alabama. In what seems to be a trend over the past few years, Alabama continues to come down and pluck talent out of the Sunshine State. Early recognition of talent combined with multiple national championships make this a tough combination to beat and you can count on this trend to continue. Eddie Jackson, come on down.

Who will be the next young talent to hit elite status out of nowhere?? Time will tell but you can be assured the search for elite talent across the state of Florida takes place each and every day and those who find these talents first certainly gain a tremendous advantage over rival competition! Here is the video that help start it all!
