There’s yet another set of identical twins making their marks in the Bay Area, and this pair hails from the Pinellas side of the bridges in Clearwater. They are Jaquez and Jatavious Byrd–and they are quietly becoming the solid rocks on the Torandoes’ defensive island.

The pair are members of the Class of 2017 and both are nearly identical in size in addition to their appearance. Jatavious checks-in slightly heavier–but by a mere four pounds. They both stand at 5-foot-9 and Jatavious is at 164-pounds while Jaquez is at an even 160-pounds based on their check-in at Ignite.
The pair know how to find their targets and drop them when on contact as proved by their solo-to-total tackle ratio. Jaquez was credited with 21 tackles last season with 20 of those being solo while Jatavious totaled 34 on the season with the vast majority (24 tackles) being solo as well.
Jaquez was the premier ballhawk of the two for Clearwater in 2015, intercepting five passes totaling in 73 yards worth of returns while breaking up six passes in the process. Jatavious was credited with seven passes defensed, a fumble recovery, a caused fumble and a quarterback hurry. Both twins run track in their offseason away from football as well.
