Demondre Lambert is working hard to catapult himself in the recruiting ranks while also trying to put the Rebels “back on the map.”
Dixie Hollins finished 2-8 in 2011, but Lambert says the team that isn’t deterring him from striving to strengthen his game.
“I”m a big back,” Lambert said. “I can run with power or run with speed.”
The 200 pounder is working on developing his quickness while also improving his endurance, something that he said plagued him last year.
“I wasn’t always able to run the way I wanted,” he said. “I’m working on my stopping ability and regaining my speed.”
Lambert isn’t a guy that spends much time looking for things to do. He focuses on his academics – and then continues his studies watching game film.
Lambert’s biggest influence is his uncle John Lambert who lives in New York.
“He was a good back when he played,” Demondre said of his uncle. “He got mixed up with the wrong crowd and that’s what kept him out of college.”
Demondre Lambert says that his uncle consistently talks to him about the importance of his academics and staying on the right track.
Lambert has started receiving interest for Iowa State University who he says he has recently sent back a questionnaire. He says that he doesn’t have a college preference and just hopes to continue his football career.
