Devyn Salmon offered by Wake Forest

Plant City defensive tackle Devyn Salmon was offered by Wake Forest today he confirmed in a text message. For Salmon Wake Forest is the first to offer and it comes after he attended the BHSN/BCP Ignite combine, among a few others.

“It feels great, truly a blessing,” he said in a text message of earning his first offer.  “I give all my success and credit to PCHS Football and my mentor Gerold Dickens. I’m going to continue to work.”

Florida, Memphis, Florida International University, Iowa State, South Florida, Central Florida, Baylor and Western Kentucky are also showing interest in the 6-foot 2-inch, 280 pound prospect.

Salmon is rated as the No. 2 DT in Tampa Bay according to the 2012 BCP player rankings. He expects to be offered by a number of schools during the spring.
