HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY RECRUITING THE BOX

Cox and lots of Gryphons

Sickles
Josh Black 10
6’2/195lbs, 2014
The next coming of James Wilder Jr.? We will have to wait and see, but the future looks very promising for this young stud. Against King, Black was the most disruptive defensive player on the field. Now, his stats will not jump out at you, but his film will. So many times, he made the plays by containing the edge, getting a great push in the middle or even just getting Greg Windham flushed out the pocket. He is only a sophomore and has so much potential BCS talent.

LaDondra Crittenden 5
5’8/175lbs, RB, 2012
This young man has a quick burst out of his stance, hits the whole hard and is tough between the tackles. In order to be a good back, you must have balance and Crittenden has plenty of it.

Yhaquille Grant 32
6-0/175lbs,RB, 2014
Similar style RB as Crittenden listed above. Swift and has good vision. His 175 pound frame is a lot tougher than one may think.

Marcos Vega 23
5-8/200lbs, FB, 2013
The little guy plays real big. He is the perfect dive and fullback trap runner. He hits the hole fast with his eye up and finds daylight. Did I mention he is a fast lil sucker?

Adekunle Olusanya 9
5-10/200lbs, S, 2013
This kid is the heart and soul of the Gryphon defense, maybe even the team. Outside of his physical ability, the intangibles are clear as day. He is a visible and vocal leader who his teammates gravitate to. He has a solid safety frame that is built for battle; great up field speed and loose hips. Has the ability to play both strong and free safety.

Adrian Lopez
6-1/185lbs, CB, 2012
Adrian had a tough task last Friday, lined up over Chris Murray all game long. Did he stop him…NO. But, he did an excellent job defending him and competing all game. His long reach and deceptive speed is probably suited to play safety at the next level, but he definitely has the tools to play in college.

King
Austin Cox 5
5-8/185lbs, ILB, 2012
If this kid was a little bigger, schools would be all over him. He swarms to the football and will smack you. He is reckless (in a good way) and seems to enjoy playing football. Sorting his way through traffic is the best part of his game. Good player.
