Cortavious Givens, Admiral Farragut 2014 RB
Slowed by a season ending injury last season, Farragut RB/LB Cortavious Givens has not put up the offensive numbers as he did his freshman year and the beginning of his sophomore season. To date, he has carried the ball 20 times for just 74 yards and 3 TDs. However, he has played plenty of defensive snaps, doing everything in his power to help his team to 8-1 record.
The slow comeback has not stopped Givens from taken in all that the recruiting process has to offer. “Been loving it from the jump,” says Cortavious.
FSU, Tennessee, Virginia, Rutgers, Louisville, Ole Miss, UMASS, Mississippi State and NC State has shown Givens the most attention so far. As he continues to progress from his injury, these schools and more will continue to follow Givens progression. Cortavious says he doesn’t have a dream school, so he is not locked in on one university.
“I can play any position on the field. My team needs me to, to win games. I have the speed, excellent strength”. Givens tells what makes him a good prospect. Where ever he lands, “The family atmosphere, can my family make it to a decent amount of my games,” will be the biggest factors when choosing a college.
