Cordell Hudson
Largo 2014 DB/WR
5-11/155
Largo is very familiar with producing talented college prospects. Pinellas County’s powerhouse currently has four prospects with a verbal college scholarship offer. Juwan Brown and Derrick Doss are the obvious headliners of the Packers. However, 2014 prospect, Cordell Hudson is on the rise.
Hudson is a Seminole Middle School product who attributes much of his football talent to his middle school passion, soccer, “I used to play soccer a lot. It helped me with my footwork that I use on the football field.”
Now that football is Hudson’s primary extra curricular focus, he has not lost sight of his academic responsibility. The young Packer carries a 4.6 overall grade point average and a 3.9 core grade point average.
Though he is shifty, swift, agile and athletic, Hudson admits their is room for improvement, yet acknowledges is strengths. “I have good cover skills, but I am also a real good tackler. I rarely miss a tackle.”
7 interceptions is the goal for Cordell Hudson this upcoming season. In 2011 he had just two recorded interceptions and 20 total tackles.
“I grew up watching Dexter McCluster and wanted my game to be like his.” McCluster is a Largo High alum and current Kansas City Chief.
