Clearwater High, home of football Parade All Americans?

Interesting fact: Clearwater High school has the most football Parade football All Americans in Tampa Bay.  Joel Parker, WR; Hassan Jones, WR; Terry Griggley, RB and Greg Frey, OL all attended Clearwater High, 3 of 4 signed with Florida State (4th with Florida) and were named Parade All Americans between the years of 1969 and 1990.  However, in recent years, Plant and Armwood have not just owned the state title games, but their players have dominated the All American List. Between the years of 1997-2008, Plant and Armwood have a total of 5 players named Parade All Americans.  Armwood with 3, which all stayed in the state of Florida to play college football.  Defensive back, Charlie Kerr, was Plant’s first All American in 1979 and attended the University of Florida. Of the 19 Tampa Bay Parade All Americans, 15 have attended Florida Universities; 7 Florida, 4 Florida State, 3 Miami and 1 South Florida.
